10.2.25
- Added a number of methods for study courses in psychology: Schulte's tables, Stroop task.
- Added game training aids for children – Cells (logical operations), Aquarium (spelling).
- Added a number of research and applicative methods (including tremor test), revised descriptions of earlier added experimental methods.
- A minor change in the structure of method menu (sensomotor and research methods, and cognitive modeling section).
- Added: sociometry, Burdon’s test.
- Added a function of complete removal of all data on a respondent (on all surveys and methods).
- Added data export and import function on a separate method (in a popup menu Method - Additional functions). This function is useful when there is a need to collect data on one respondent from different computers (if there was no possibility to conduct a survey on one computer or on different computers with common database linked via local network), and also for correcting accidental mistakes of including methods in various surveys of one respondent (e.g. in different age periods).
- Added a number of research methods, phi movement experiment, prepared descriptions for new and earlier added experimental methods.
- Resource materials to programs Longitude B, Longitude+ and EDS are updated, revised and grouped in one program file.
- Resource materials on organizing and conducting profile education with the use of Longitude-EDS Software System are included in the distributive as a file, called from the menu: Start – Programs – Longitude-EDS. This file can also be found on program website, page Education.
- Fixed small problems of incompatibility with Windows Vista (extra scroll bar in main program window).
- Added a number of research methods (perceptual defense, priming).
- Instruction manual and data processing in time measurement test are updated.
7.10.5
- Support of the work of several users with common database via local network is organized, as well as a possibility to work with several databases, including removable disks.
- A new installer for Longitude-EDS software system is introduced, with an option to choose groups of method for installation.
- Added a method of analysis and interpretation of graphical projective tests results – method 031/032, “house – tree - man” test.
- Added reactions study methods: 223/224 – sensomotor reactions, 225/226 – reactions to movement and time (response to a moving object and time measurement test).
- Provided an option to install the files of all Longitude-EDS software initially operating in demo mode with subsequent choice of interface (Longitude or EDS) and protection means (installation code or electronic key) when switching to operation mode.
- Added specially developed graphical stimulus materials for school anxiety test (see method description file, called in survey preparation panel for this method).
- Released a separate version of Longitude Expert System – Longitude+, including an additional set of methods to work with schoolchildren and adults, which earlier was only present in EDS. In future versions Longitude B (basic) and Longitude+ (extended) will be developed in parallel.
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to individual Development Programs section, composed by the results of Developmental Scale survey.
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to Individual Development Programs section, composed by the results of Developmental Scale survey (common database now contains over 2080 items). The structure of development program is improved for more even distribution of provided materials in different age ranges.
- Individual recommendations section based on Individual follow-up chart is added with materials on initial registration and psychological and educational conclusions (this method is now at initial stage of formation of recommendation base, therefore it is not large and contains approx. 80 items).
- Additional methods section now allows not only data collection and processing, but also their approximate interpretation (which does not exclude the need for data analysis by a specialist).
- In personal data panel it is possible to insert a special respondent’s code, used not as a substitute but as an addition to the surname (e.g. medical chart code), and notes, which do not fit into standard questionnaire entries.
- In Developmental Scale method survey preparation panel there are no more requests to specify old task numbers. This was necessary for the period of transition to a new numbering scheme (by sections).
5.3.20
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to individual Development Programs section (common database now contains over 1700 items).
- Improved quality of some elements of stimulus material.
- Improved quality of some elements of stimulus material – to questions K-23 (830), K-22 (827), L-15 (540), L-16 (547), K-10 (385). Before paper and PDF versions of stimulus materials are released you can printout updated stimulus materials directly from the program (to do that use Start menu – Developmental scale – All stimulus materials, or call the drawings when viewing a relevant item in data collection method).
4.9.20
- In August 2004 a second standardization of diagnostic section was performed, based on the data of 2033 surveys obtained from various cities and towns of the Russian Federation.
- A new age range (from 7 to 9 years) is added to Developmental scale method. In this context some new entries were added to a set of questions and tasks for children of 5 to 6 years of age (as some new tasks are devised for a wide age range, from 5 to 12 years). In this version of the system this age range is at the stage of standardization and is included in the distributive to provide a possibility of data collection and transfer from Longitude users who take part in standardization process of the diagnostic section of the system.
- A new parameter, “Motivation to learn at school”, appeared in Developmental scale method.
- This parameter is at standardization stage and is intended to be used in the future as part of special complex parameter “School readiness”.
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to Developmental scale method, individual Development Programs section (common database now contains over 1500 items).
- Broadened options of Individual Follow-up Chart method. This method is devised for collecting data on a child from initial approach. It includes records on examinations of various specialists (e.g. in psycho-medical-educational consultancy or psycho-educational socio-medical center), consultation results, conducted courses, referrals to additional institutions, etc. Selection of conclusions and viewing of earlier selected data and records is carried out similar to history data operation. Corresponding data processing method (method 006 – “Individual follow-up chart – data processing”) allows choosing recommendations and games suitable for the child, according to registered specialists’ conclusions, age and gender. This selection will be open in a word processor, allowing a possibility for its editing, printout and saving on a CD for further transmission.
3.12.15
- Additional information in “Conclusion” on Developmental scale. On parameters where general conclusion was under significant deviating influence from certain items of developmental scale, substantiations for the conclusions are given in brackets. These are numbers of tasks, on which normative population in this age group shows higher (“!” before task number) or lower (“+” before task number) results in mastering relevant activities.
- One “+”or “!” sign indicates that deviation from normative population on this item is insignificant as such, and only presence of a large number of similar results on many items have true value. In terms of quantity this deviation corresponds to a fact that from ½ to ¾ of normative population demonstrate “higher/lower” results on this item. Items on which deviations were less prominent are not shown here at all, as they have value (and influence on conclusions of the expert system) only in case of a large amount of one-directional deviations.
- Signs “++” or “!!” indicate a deviation essential even for one item. In terms of quantity this deviation corresponds to a fact that over ¾ of normative population demonstrate “higher/lower” results on this item. When doubtful of the results, these particular items should be of special attention (e.g. check correctness of task performance and result entry).
- New method of data collection and survey conducting: Individual Follow-up Chart. Method “Individual Follow-up Chart” is devised for collecting data on a child from initial approach. In the future this method will be updated with means of data processing, required for preparing statistical samplings and individual recommendations.
- A possibility for individual and group data export and import. Now you can transmit data on examined child to another institution or another specialist for coordinated analysis of problems.
- If necessary during export process the data is cleared of personal information (full name, address, phone numbers). You can also use these functions to send data to the developers in case of problems with data processing.
- An item “Normative documents” is added to Longitude group in Windows start menu, opening a library of materials that can be helpful for psychologists in organizing their work (The Russian Federation Education Act and other documents).
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to Individual Development Program section (common database now contains over 1300 items).
- Additional options were added to Developmental scale – Data Processing panel (next to Development Program button), allowing the user to register recommendations, included into created Program. This was done in order to have a possibility to automatically exclude earlier recommendations when preparing and printing out a new version of a Program (e.g. after a period of time).
- Optimized History data entry and editing. Now one click on a “writing hand”, instead of a pop-up menu, opens a list with all possible History items, which can be selected / unselected with one click, while non-standard entries can be edited with a double click.
- Data entry in items L-17 (731) and L-18 (737) of Developmental Scale was changed to achieve more accurate results. Now it is required to specify not only a number of correctly put dots, but after a slash – total amount of dots put by a child. These changes are reflected in the notes to the question, which are displayed on the screen during data entry on these items.
- Added a possibility for using the electronic key instead of installation code.
2.12.20
- Development Scale was standardized on the basis of 800 surveys.
- Developmental Scale age range was extended to 7 years (during two months this range will be in the phase of standardization, after which a new version will be released where this method will be standardized).
- In Developmental Scale a number of parameters was increased, while some new parameters are at development phase and are not included into operation.
- As a result of data analysis questionnaire composition was updated; formulation of some questions was improved.
- A new method of data processing was introduced (004 History – data processing), devised for identifying a risk group, which a child can be ascribed to, according to instructive regulations of Ministry of Healthcare. Texts with recommendations for specialists and parents on working with a child, with consideration to their risk group are an additional result of data processing. In the current version this method is presented in a proving mode for collecting specialists’ recommendations on its further development.
- To support work of this new method, a selection of records in method 003 History was considerably extended. All earlier entered records are saved. You can view them and insert additional information.
- An option to regulate the scope of parameters (conducting a survey with a given number of parameters).
- An option to prepare an individual list of questions and survey form to transfer to parents or a specialist.
- An option to regulate survey depth (from regular to in-depth survey; in the long term it is planned to introduce a minimal, screening level)
- An option to export data on a specific method (e.g. to obtain a summary table of survey results in a group).
- An option to extend age range of the survey. For example, in case of assumption of development delay, it is possible to present questions not only within a calendar age of a child, but also for a younger age (e.g. one year younger).
- An option to enter answers according to question order from the standard form (designed not for a specific child, but for a wider age range). For that purpose in the relevant window of survey preparation panel one should specify the form (form No – age range No).
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to Individual Development Program section (common database now contains over 1100 items).
2.4.20
- Developmental Scale was standardized on the basis 600 surveys.
- As a result of data analysis questionnaire composition was updated; formulation of some questions was improved.
- Added an option of working with groups (assigning a respondent to one or several groups, review and export of group lists).
- Added new recommendations, games and illustrations to Individual Development Program section (common database now contains over 750 items).
-
Upper limit for age range of method 011/012 Developmental Scale is extended from 3 to 5 years.
-
Child Development Analysis Chart was added to data analysis tools, covering all follow-up period.
-
Validity test is added to questionnaire data processing, checking respondent’s attentiveness when choosing their answers.
-
Identification panel is eliminated when adding new respondent. Personal data panel is immediately called instead.
